High School for Girls is able to offer a range of INSET opportunities
for our partner schools and for other local schools.
Nonsuch has the privilege of working alongside the Science
Learning Centre London, which is based at the Institute of
Education, and can provide CPD for Science teachers and technicians.
The courses offered usually take place over 2 non consecutive
days. This allows teachers to complete a mid course
task that is related to the area of CPD on which the course
focuses. The second day typically allows participants
the opportunity to share experiences and reflect on them with
others on the course. This inevitably gives scope for
discussion about how such experiences can be disseminated
to colleagues back at school.
Funding for partner schools is available and participation
by other local schools will be subsidised. Details should
be requested from the Science Specialist Status Coordinator.
