The Governing Body has said farewell to three governors and welcomed two members since the last AGM. Mrs Denise Rooke resigned after 8 years as a Governor during which time she chaired the Personnel Committee. Denise guided Governors through complex personnel issues with great skill and supported Mrs Espejo in the appointment of many senior members of staff. We will miss Denise and thank her for her valuable contribution to the success of Nonsuch. Mr Brian Doonar resigned after many years as a Governor at Nonsuch. We wish him well in his new ventures and thank him for his tireless contribution to Nonsuch. Brian’s background in Personnel and Health and Safety brought valuable experience to the Governing Body and his commitment will be missed. Brian took several key roles during his time as a Governor, in particular his time as Chairman saw Nonsuch begin a major phase of expansion and innovation. Miss Jo Pomeroy, Teacher Governor, resigned following her appointment as Director of Sixth Form. Fortunately we will not lose her contribution to the Governing Body – she will now attend as a representative of the Leadership Group. We welcome Miss Nicola Daubney as Teacher Governor. Mrs Carol Acott joined as a Parent Governor. We would like to thank her for taking up the Parent Governor post and hope that she finds the role rewarding. Mrs Madeleine Maguire and Mrs Helen Edwards were re-elected as Parent Governors.
