ADMISSIONS COMMITTEE Chair 2002/2003 – Mr John ClayThe Admissions Committee met once during the year to consider all aspects of the arrangements for the admission of pupils to Nonsuch and to review the school’s Admissions Policy, which covers entry into all years. The Committee pays particular attention to the admission arrangements for Year 7, which are operated jointly with our sister school, Wallington High School for Girls and follow criteria that are designed to ensure that the greatest number of girls is recruited from the immediate locality of the two schools. Following discussions with Wallington High School for Girls during the previous academic year, the two schools agreed that the admission tests for 2002 should be varied by extending the mathematics test and abandoning the non-verbal test. The Headmistress reported that the new arrangements worked very well and had improved the organisation of Testing Day for the pupils. The committee was pleased to note that interest in places at the school continued to grow and over 840 students sat the Autumn 2002 test for entry in September 2003.
