Year 9 Problem Solving Challenge

Year 9 students took part in a day of problem solving organised by the Design and Technology department. All the girls made a great effort and enjoyed the day immensely; the winning team had this to say. ‘The challenge was an exciting event, we had to make a mechanism to launch a ball with a buzzer that sounded when the ball was caught in the catcher.

It was really challenging especially making the buzzer sound. The best part was testing our products as there were balls flying all around the hall! As the winning team we are looking forward to representing the school at the Borough competition in February. We would like to thank the Design and Technology department for organising this event.
