THE FRENCH DEPARTMENT KS 3

At KS3, there are four classes of French in years 7, 8 and 9. All students study within their form groups until they reach year 10, when they make their GCSE options.

All students are given a text book to use throughout the course. Students use the most up-to-date edition of 'Encore Tricolore'. They have occasional use of the Language Lab and also the ICT suite and in addition, all French class rooms are equipped with internet access which allows students to use the Board Works software and other websites in their lessons.

The course covers the study of a variety of topics in a communicative way to enable them to manage day-to-day real life situations.
