Costa Rica Expedition Training Weekend in Wales

At the end of March the Costa Rica team went to Snowdonia in Wales. This was part of the training for our upcoming expedition in the summer of 2011. We familiarised ourselves with the equipment that we would be using such as Trangia stoves, tents and very heavy backpacks.

It was an eventful weekend taking part in a sponsored abseil at an old quarry, trekking, camping in the wilderness and even practising our first aid skills. This was a great experience bringing the team together and preparing us for the challenge that lies ahead. An excellent weekend was had by all or as the Welsh would say „Bendigedig!..
