The Trial

Joseph K is charged with a crime and brought to trial, but he never finds out the charges and sinks under helplessness of not knowing...

Before an eagerly assembled audience and an invited Edexcel examiner, the AS Drama students stepped out onto the Drama Studio stage to present their version of Steven Berkoff’s ‘The Trial’. Adapted from Franz Kafka’s moral tale, the play explores K’s frustrating journey and highlights flaws in governance, society and the legal system.

The small ensemble of actors did an outstanding job in bringing the characters and issues of the play to life. Using multi-roling and physical theatre, all seven performers displayed some truly impressive acting skills. Congratulations to Natasha P, Stephanie M, Chloe B, Megan Lr, Charlotte M, Jessica W and Angelina N.
