My Fair Lady – “Absolutely bloomin loverly”...

9th and 10th February 2011

This year’s production of ‘My Fair Lady’ was by far the biggest and most challenging project that the school has undertaken for many years. Rehearsals began with great anticipation back in October and since then, a team of actors, dancers, musicians, designers and backstage crew worked tirelessly to produce what can only be described as an outstanding show.

The role of Eliza Doolittle was wonderfully portrayed by Year 10 student Lucy P, with expert support from experienced Year 12 actors Natasha F and Alex R, playing Henry Higgins and Colonial Pickering. Jess F, another Year 10 student, also produced a magnificent performance as Alfred Doolittle adding much colour and wit to the show.

Over two nights, a packed School Hall was undoubtedly treated to the magic of the West End at Nonsuch. The talent on show from the entire cast and orchestra was truly exceptional. If you missed it, you missed out!
